Veils veils veils

So traditionally, when you wear a wedding dress you also wear a veil. For my dress, there's a lovely veil with a trim on the edges, which corresponds well with the ribbon trim on the dress. Now it'd be very simple to buy this thing, but it's $80. Eighty Dollars for a piece of toile and ribbon on a comb. Not budget friendly.

So I went on the hunt. You can buy simple veils at Michaels and A.C.Moore. I actually found a veil that was practically the same as the $80 one, except it was white and not ivory. I will keep looking, though! It'd be easy to buy, and only $15 or so.

My aunt is also a great sewer, and making a veil is very simple and cheap- under $20. With the awesomeness of the webs, I even found two sites:

We shall see!

  1. Hey Stef! I made my own veil (check out my wedding pics on Facebook!) Tulle at a craft store is very inexpensive so you can buy extra yardage and "play" with it. I used hotglue and some simple hand stitching to attach to combs, and the combs are always hidden in hair anyways. My veil cost less than $10.
